A Basic Door Doors are pretty common elements in most buildings. Creating a door in Inform is like having another room between the two rooms that a door connects. Here is a simple example of how to create a door.
A Basic Door (Part 2) This is a variation of 'A Basic Door' where the player does not have to explicitly open a closed door before going through it. This is based on Example 117 'Higher Calling' in Chapter 8.13 Calling names in the Inform documentation.
Locked Doors
Doors that can be locked and unlocked are pretty common elements in most buildings. This demonstrates creating a door that is locked and can be unlocked.
Opening a Door with a Word This demonstrates how we could create a locked door that is unlocked and opened by saying the word 'sesame' or 'open sesame.'
The examples and snippets were created with Inform 7.
