When Obama gets into office I hope he scraps this kind of crazy idea. The Feds can confiscate “information”? While interesting, I find the basis for the reversal opinion garbled behind weird and complex analogies.
The basic question holds: what constitutes reasonable search at the airport?
I was ready for an article about common citizens having their laptops stolen, not a media article consoling one of their own.
When you have the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post breaching national security just to one-up an adminstration they loathe, I have ZERO sympathy for any of them. Reap what you sow… and all that.
Perhaps when Obama gets into office he will scrap this, FISA, and the Patriot Act in general. This will give us national security as it was pre-9/11. And then we will get to read the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post reporting on the latest terrorist attack, organised by Al-Qaeda from somewhere in Iraq because Obama had the sudden insight to pull U.S. troops from there after reaching a dipolmatic agreement with Iran to do so.
Boy isn’t that an optimistic, possible near-future to look forward to.
