  • Eating an Apple
This is a demonstration of how, after eating an apple, we are then left with an apple core by "swapping out" and apple with an apple core.
  • State of the Orange
This is a simple demonstration of how we might change the state of an object by changing its properties rather than 'swapping out' objects. This is based on Chapter 16.14. 'Understanding things by their properties' in the Inform 7 documentation.
  • A Box of Marbles
This is a very simple example of how we might create several marbles and how those marbles can be interacted with together or separately.
  • I Can Read Now
This is a simple demonstration of how touching some moss gives the player the ability to read something that was previously unintelligible. This is based on the Infocom game 'Beyond Zork.'
  • I Have the Strength of Ten Men
This is a simple demonstration of how touching some moss gives the player great strength to remove a table that blocks your path.
  • Creating New Kinds of Things
We often create common objects in our world: tables, chairs, sofas, etc. These are usually built each time from existing kinds and properties. This demonstrates how we can create new kinds and save ourselves a lot of keystrokes.
  • Opening a Drawer
Often when creating objects in a house or home we want to have drawers that can be opened and closed: cabinets, dressers, etc. This demonstrates how one might create a night stand that contains one functioning drawer that is part of night stand.
  • Looking Through Dresser Drawers
Often when creating objects in a house or home we want to have drawers that can be opened and closed: cabinets, dressers, etc. This demonstrates how one might create a new kind called a drawer and an oak dresser that contains three drawers.
